Age man Bhairon Singh Shekhawat – Role
Jai ho burn in the jag, wherever the holy virgin!
I heard Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's name, for the first
time in his life, from Father's face. They were on the summer of 1977 and Luo
kept the whole atmosphere shaky. The political atmosphere of the country was
too hot in those days, often used to do papa in the house. At that time I was a
15-year-old boy. After returning from the office in the evening, Dad had said
that tomorrow Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will take oath as the Chief Minister ofRajasthan. On this I had asked child-friendly curiosity, how are these people?
Father gave a laughing reply - strong Rajasthan is fortunate that he got the
belligerent person as Chief Minister. On that very day I heard some things from
Father's mouth about the struggling life of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
The opportunity to see Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in close
proximity came in 1992 when my selection was held in the Information and Public
Relations Department in Rajasthan Government. At that time, another government
of Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawataji was in the state. I had selected the date of
its observation in the Directorate on December 16, 1992, even during those days
the political atmosphere of the country was full of turmoil. Bhairon SinghShekhawat government was sacked just one day before my jayoning.
On December 16, 1992, when I gave my gaming to the
Directorate of Information and Public Relations located in the Secretariat
premises, there was a strange atmosphere in the entire Secretariat. The entire
campus was echoing with the security personnel and the swiftly moving trains,
which caused fear in the mind. Later it was known that President's rule has
been imposed in the state, so Governor Dr. M. Chennaiardi is about to come.
They are a disciplined person, therefore, today it sticks around. If a person
is seen on the road or in the corridor of the Secretariat premises, the
security personnel are playing the seats to remove it.
In the evening, it was known that the manoted paper was
taken out from the chambers of secretaries located in the Secretariat. These
were papers in which the wishes, desires, dreams and compulsions of millions of
people living in remote areas of the state were written. There were remaining
procedures on these papers, but now the paper has not left any work since the
government left. New papers will be written in front of the new government to
re-express their ambitions.
For the first time on that day, I realized that a Chief
Minister who runs the entire government, is not a person, is the focal point of
dreams of people's desires, desires and crores of people. It is surrounded by
problems from around. Thousands of people are directly connected to him,
millions of hands are always carrying some paper on their side, millions of
eyes are seeing him with a hopeful look, and his own personal life is nothing,
nothing happens.
There was a pain in mind. I had hoped that in this new
appointment, I would also have the opportunity to see Shri Bhairon Singh
Shekhawat closely and perhaps work with him, but his government was dismissed
and the President's rule had begun in the state. My appointment from the
Directorate was made in Jalore and I went to Jalore a few days later. Just a
year later, on 4 December 1993, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat formed the
government for the third time in the state. It was awaiting again in my mind
that now I can see them with my eyes. Maybe I also have the opportunity to work
with them.
Thus, for the first time in the year 1994, I had the
opportunity to see Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat with my eyes when he came to
visit Jalore District and I got the opportunity to cover press coverage of his
visit as district information and public relations officer. Seeing Shri
Shekhawat, this idea came first in my mind - this is exactly what Dad said
about them in 1997. Very simple, easy
I remained in the Jalore District till June 1997. Meanwhile,
Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat made many trips to Jalore as Chief Minister and I
had the privilege of his media coverage. I was very impressed by his oratory
style. It did not seem that to understand their point of view, one needs to
emphasize a little over your mind. Simple words, resolved point, short sentence
and cheeky guess. I never got any difficulty or confusion in writing his
speeches as a press note.
At the same time, in the year 1996, the general elections
for the eleventh Lok Sabha were held. Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat came on a
visit to Jalore District before issuing notification of Lok Sabha elections.
During this time, he traveled from ahore to Jalore, Bagra, Bhinmal and Sanchor
etc. by road. I was in the Chief Minister's convoy for media coverage. The way
I saw him in this journey was enough to put me inexperienced like me. His
entire journey was without any flurry, without any flap and no noise. Hundreds
of people were seen standing on both sides of the road during the whole trip.
The Chief Minister stopped seeing his car, shaking hands with them, and if
someone was carrying a garland, he would wear garland with his hands. She used
to talk to him in Marwari, with Shekhawati, who often had the name of that
person too. I was surprised, A person can remember how many names last. Many
people ask for gutka, share their gutkha with others and let them account
further.
I was even more surprised when they asked people about their
cow-buffaloes and farming by taking their name. Asked about his job by taking
the name of his boy and inquiring about how his wife is in-laws. There were
many old references in these things too. For the first time in my visit, I came
to understand that lakhs of hands around the Chief Minister were not standing
with paper, but there are millions of friends in the villages and villages all
over the state. They are wanted and also for those who wish Mangal are also.
In the year 1997, there was a literacy program in Jalore
district. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was personally worried for this mission. When
Jalore District Administration submitted its project to the National Literacy
Mission, I was also involved in the team who had constructed this project and
the team who presented it in front of National Literacy Mission in Delhi. When
the national literacy mission approved this project, the happiness of the Chief
Minister was not a factor. Chief Minister came in to launch this in Jalore
district. District collector Rajeshwar Singh organized a huge program for the
launch of this program at the district headquarters. By that time my transfer
had been Nagaur. Therefore, the District Collector called me Jalore to conduct
the program.
This was my first and last event that was conducted for Mr.
Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in my memory. The program was very grand. The entire
district was just like this. Between me and the District Collector, it was
already decided how the program would be operated, who would speak and when and
when. Everything went in the same way and in the end the Chief Minister stood
up to speak. They must have spoken for four or five minutes that their Mike
stopped working. Electricity was coming but Mike was locked. Someone did not
understand anything. By now everything was fine and now everything was going to
be junk. My mike was working. Three-four minutes passed in seeing that where
Mike was spoiled.
This was my first opportunity to conduct any general meeting
of any Chief Minister, but still I worked patiently and thinking that till the
time the Mike did not come, I started talking about Jalore's literacy mission.
So far it had happened which was decided between me and the district collector,
but now it was going to be what was not decided. Speaking in the middle of the
speeches of the Chief Minister was a very indescribable and unkempt thing but I
did this misery while looking at the situation. The arrangement of Mike took
about thirteen-fourteen minutes. In the meantime, I continued to speak about
the future Action Plan of Jalore Literacy Mission. In the meantime, my eyesight
was seen two or three times from the district collector, but they did not make
any sign for me. I continued to speak and when Mike was right, the Chief
Minister spoke the first sentence in this way - I got breath in my breath, now
I was convinced that I am not going to say anything for this misery.
Before the 1998 general elections, I was appointed in Nagaur
district. Prior to the code of conduct, there were many tourists in many towns
of the district including Nagaur Nagar, District headquarters of Shri Bhairon
Singh Shekhawat. This time too I did media coverage of their visits.
On October 1, 1998, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat came to
Nagaur on a two-day visit. After being busy in many programs throughout the
day, in the evening, he went on a fasting feast of a Jain monk doing Chaturmas
in Nagaur. I also went with them. Nearly one hour, he lived in the connivance
of the Jain monk. There were only three people in that room during that whole
time - Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Jain Sadhu and I In this period, listening
to the topics on which the conversation took place between them, another new
thing was understood. The Chief Minister is not only for thousands of millions,
but also for millions of people, it is also for himself, he also harbors the
concerns of soul, divine, ehelk and world.
The next day was October 2. The Chief Minister visited
Gandhi Chowk to wreath the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. I was also present there
with other officers of the district administration. By that time many people
had known that Bhairon Singh ji stayed in Nagaur and in the morning Gandhi
Chowk would come. At that time it was seven o'clock in the morning. Yet the
entire Gandhi Chowk was full of chaos The same thing happened here too. The
Chief Minister took the gutkha from someone, asked the names of the children of
some people and asked them about them and their convoy had left for eight
o'clock.
While staying at the post of Vice President in 2007, he came
to Shantarpura Rajaram Ashram on the anniversary of Mahant Kishan Ram Ji
Maharaj. At that time I was a public relations officer at Jodhpur Discom but I
was hired to cover his journey. On that day millions of people were present in
Shishrpura. The eyes on which to run, man is the man, Women only women There is
no place to settle in the Ashram premises. The Vice President came around about
ten in the morning. When he went to the main hall for Darshan, the place around
was secured by putting wooden balls and the policemen were standing beside the
balls. The common man did not have the courage to break that security circle and
reach them. But when they came, millions of people ran unnoticed towards the
main temple. They wanted to see their leader by paying attention. Such a
hypnotized scene I've rarely seen in my life. This hypnosis was dissolved only
when the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi entered the ashram.
I last covered the journey of Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's
Nagana Temple in the year 2007. Then I was posted in Barmer district. This
time, he was Vice President. Incidentally, this time the political atmosphere
of the state was too hot. He was the Vice-President, had been uprooted from
political matters, yet he did not know about the clay, he used to know how to
shoot arrows. They always used to do something like that, the snake would die
and the stick did not break even. From the stage in Barmer district, he named
many such people who were sitting in front of him in the crowd. By mentioning
some people, he also mentioned the things that happened in his past visits to
Barmer district. It was like this that after the completion of the meeting
every person felt that he was going to talk to Mr. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat
personally. Satisfied and overwhelmed! Perhaps last time I saw him in the
temple of Govind Devji in Jaipur. They came to the temple of Govind Devji with
full accent but produced no sensation.
On 15th May 2010, his sad news was found. Large newspapers
and pictures were published in the next day's newspapers. One day, the father
raised the newspaper and said- "Bhairon Singhji should pay homage."
In those days, I used to write a column titled third eye in the daily Navjyoti,
in western Rajasthan, on the tongue of people. In the same column I wrote an
article on May 18, 2010 - Where is the simplicity, simplicity and innocence of
the world gone! This was a humble tribute to them from me. What could I give
them apart from the literal tribute?
I have a Shantha Shankan in my heart. In the words of the
nationalist Ramdharsingh Dinkar- Jai Ho burnt in the juga wherever Punit Das
was born. They were only virgins!
