  • Importance of inscriptions Inscription of e.1107, is a very ancient village known as Sewari in Pali district of RajasthanThis village was called Shamipati in the twelfth century AD. Two inscriptions of XII century AD have been found in Mahavir Swamy's temple situated in this village. The first of these inscriptions is of three rows. This inscription has been engraved on the stones of 3 '6' 'multiplication 2' 3/4 '. The article is engraved in the Sanskrit language and Devanagari script. The text of the article is as follows: "No. 11264 Su-6 Maharaj Shah Rukh Raj, Shri Ashwraj, State, Shri Katukraj Yuvrajya, Chaitya Samarthi Chaitya, Shri Dharmamnath Devas, Nitya Pujyaarth Mahasahaniya Puvi Pautrayan, Uttam Rajputran, Uppal Raine Maa Ghad, Anwal. V.     Second inscription of Mahavir temple of Sewadi V. Sr. 1172 (AD 1115). This is an eight-line article which has been engraved in the 2 '1.25' 'multiplication 4.5' field. The main lines of the inscription are as follows:

    In this inscription, the names of Anihil, Jindraj, Ashwar and Katukraj etc. were mentioned as Chauhan rulers, Yashodev's army chief (Baladhip), Bahad, Shilpi and his son Thalak. In this inscription, the name of Sawardi village is written as Shamipati. In this inscription, the properties of Baladhiput have been mentioned, on which basis a person was appointed as Baladhiph. It is estimated from this inscription that the patriarch of Thalak was also a trusted Shilpi of Chauhan rulers who had built the statue of Shantnath. 

    It is said in this inscription that in the city of Shamipatan, Maharaja Katukraj, who has donated the donation given to the temple, will be a part of the sin of the people who disobey him, and it has been said that this donation will have stability. 

    Historical elements in inscriptions

    Although both of these inscriptions may look very small but history is of utmost importance in terms of creation. Many insights from these inscriptions are confirmed. They confirm that in the 12th century AD there was ruler of Chauhan on this area. These Chauhan rulers also donated the temples of Jainism. In that period the language of the court of the court was Sanskrit and for the writing the Devanagari script was used. It was also confirmed from these inscriptions that the state's army officers like Senapati, Chief Officer of Ashvashala etc. also played a vital role in maintaining the donation system. The king wished that the donation he is giving is going on for a long time. In that era, farmers of poly area used to irrigate Arhat. Cow, woman, And the violence of the Brahmin was considered to be the most prevalent sin. Generals were appointed on the basis of their merits. The family of artisans used to be connected to any dynasty from generation to generation.
