Rajasthan History
There is a special connection between Maharaja Ummed Singh and the aircraft. The year in which the first aircraft flew first in the air in the air, the same year Maharaja Ummed Singh was born. In the year when the aircraft made the first tour of the world, in the same year, Maharaja Ummed Singh established the first Aviation Department in any of the country's princely states.

Maharaja Ummed Singh

Maharaja Ummed Singh was the ruler of Marwar princely state in 1918 AD. At that time, he was a minor. Therefore, the work of governance was run by Pratap, the Prime Minister of Jodhpur. Regency council was established to assist them. At that time administrative work was under way in the state of Marwar. Unfortunately in 1922 Sir Pratap passed away. The following year, in 1923, Maharaja Ummed Singh got the right to make governance decisions. After this, the work of administrative reforms in Marwar principality further increased.

This was the time when British rule was going on for a long time to overcome the global recession. For this reason, the British did not only motivate the native kingdoms for administrative reform but also to some degree. Maharaja Ummed Singh was rich in visionary and modern ideas. He considered the move of new time as a time, and established many new departments in his regime and reconstituted the old departments. Aviation Department was very important in many departments in new departments. It was a department that not only made the Jodhpur principality a whole new honor and a renewed excellence in entire Europe, in British India, and made the principality the center of new economic and strategic activities.

Evolution of aircraft

On December 17, 1903, the Wright Brothers - Wilbur Wright and Orville Wright - flew into the world's first aircraft 'Right Flyer' in the sky. It was able to stay in maximum 59 seconds. The world knew about this achievement on September 9, 1908, when the Wright brothers made public their aircraft in the United States. On that day they could stay in the air for more than an hour. In 1909, the Wright brothers formed the world's first aircraft manufacturing company.

In the war between Italy and Turkey in 1911, the airplanes were used to monitor the war zone. With this, the thousands of years old city ramparts and fortifications have become insignificant. Wilbur Wright died in 1912, and in 1915, Orville Wright sold his company rights to other companies to pursue innovative technical research in aviation. After this, rapid development of aviation began.

Governments around the world, business establishments and wealthy people started getting helpless to form a plane for themselves. As a result, Europe and America's sky were filled with planes made by various companies. The women, men and children sitting in these planes screams about happiness, fear and excitement and used to thrill others with their experiences. In 1924, two Douglas Bipelenas of the American Army sped around 44,300 kilometers for the first time in the whole world.

This was the time when Maharaja Ummed Singh decided to start air services in his kingdom. Maharaja Umaing Singh Maharaja Ummed Singh, the father of Aviation in Jodhpur was the father of aviation history not only in Jodhpur, but also in the indigenous kingdoms under British India.
